Fasting, along with studying and meditating on the Word of God, including a time of prayer and quiet time, are spiritual disciplines that help us to become sensitive to communing with God. The word "fast" comes from the Hebrew word "tsum" which means "to cover your mouth." The Greek word for fast is"nesteuo" which means "to abstain from food." This is a spiritual fast that is first and foremost the abstaining from food to focus on God who is Spirit. The spiritual fast is one that is directed by the Holy Spirit to lead us to a place of worshipping God in spirit and truth. He will also help us discern God's plans for our lives; whether it be goals, visions, provisions, assignments, deliverance, whatever you stand in need of. When we fast; we fast with a purpose. Your purpose for fasting may be to be more sensitive to hear the voice of the Lord and to develop a more intimate relationship with him. It can also include the purpose for a financial breakthrough; restoration in your relationships in your family or marriage; spiritual breakthrough; or ministry assignments...
Theme: Praying for the Revelation of God’s Power
Scripture: Ephesians 1:15–23
As we begin a new year, we invite you to join us for the First Fruits Prayer Focus 2026, a dedicated time of consecration, prayer, and spiritual alignment. This gathering is designed to help believers seek God first, deepen their prayer life, and experience a greater revelation of His power at work in and through us.
From January 2 through January 22, participants are encouraged to take part in a Time of Consecration through the Daniel Fast, preparing their hearts and minds for focused prayer.
We will then gather for two powerful services:
Friday, January 23 | 7:30–8:30 PM (Zoom)
Saturday, January 24 | 10:00–11:30 AM (In-Person)
These services will include worship, Scripture-based prayer, and guided prayer points centered on Ephesians 1:15–23. A freewill offering will be accepted.
This prayer focus is open to all who desire to begin the year with intention, faith, and expectancy.
