Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:4-8 KJV
It's good to rejoice, especially when you're thinking about the goodness of God! He (God) remains faithful and He promised us that we, will overcome this world. The word tells us that "In this life you will have tribulation, but be of GOOD cheer! I (Jesus) have over come the world" John 16:33. Just to know and understand, that being in Christ, which means saved by His blood and having faith in his total sacrificial death on a cross should make you rejoice!!! Yes, Jesus did it! He made a way, where there was know way. If people would know and understand, that we were created to rejoice and worship God. One song writer says "I was born to worship"! "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." Rev. 4:11. The scripture tells us not to worry about anything, but pray for everything and give God thanks and in doing so His peace which is beyond comprehension would keep our hearts and mind, through Jesus Christ. Remember, knowing Jesus (having a life saving relationship) helps out tremendously. Finally, while we're rejoicing or not, take sometime and try to think about the good and not the bad! The Message Bible translation, tells us this, in a slightly different way, "Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realised. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies." Philippians 4:4-8 MSG. If someone would take a minute and think of something to rejoice in knowing that God did it! Example being "Thank you for waking me this morning, Dear God and giving me the ability to write about your goodness towards us because, All my life God, you have been faithful, so I will put my trust in you and I will not be disappointed! Amen!
