Are You Off Center?

I remember singing a song titled "The Center of My Joy" by Richard Smallwood. It's crucial, my friends, to understand that if your Christian journey revolves around your Pastor, Church, Choir, or anything other than Jesus Christ, then you're not aligned with the true center. What does it mean to be "off center"? Well, when your devotion or focus strays from the central axis, you're considered 'off center'. When your dedication to God is fixated on someone or something other than our Lord and Savior, you're veering off course, so to speak. The Book of Philippians, 3:14, states, "I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus." Additionally, the scriptures instruct us to "Look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." As believers, we must always turn our gaze towards our Father and God because He is our creator, and we should yearn to be close to Him and bask in His love and benevolence. The Bible conveys, "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." AMAZING! But that's not all, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." The Word of God is brimming with His love. It serves as a message to all who are willing to read it and accept God's eternal love. The Book of Romans assures us that we are not just conquerors but more than conquerors through Him who loved us. "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." Therefore, my friends, fix your eyes on Jesus, for He loves you deeply. The Bible emphasizes that "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Ensure, my friends, that your focus is on God, through Christ Jesus, and not on man! If you're "off center" turn your focus back to Jesus, through prayer, fasting with thanksgiving for He, is the author and finisher of our faith.
